Virtual human services delivery has the potential to improve long-standing disparities in service access and outcomes. This brief highlights emerging lessons from the field, identifying considerations for programs to advance equity across all elements of service delivery. Related Products

The COVID-19 pandemic caused an unprecedented economic crisis with inequitable effects. Overall employment figures mask the disparate impacts on some communities of color, women, and low-wage workers. These groups were more likely to lose jobs, reduce hours worked, or withdraw from the labor market.

This report summarizes findings from a review of literature about health literacy and financial education and from interviews with persons involved in initiatives in these areas, primarily federal personnel. It also highlights areas of commonality between financial and health literacy, and suggests ways each field can learn from the other. [75 PDF pages report; 59 PDF pages appendices]
